和菓子や日本文化について、日本人でも知らないことはた
英語と日本語の両方を使って進行しますので、英語に自信
ぜひみなさまのご参加お待ちしています。
This is an event to learn about Japanese culture in English through Japanese confectionery (wagashi). Wagashi is deeply related to Japanese rituals and customs and reflects weather and values in Japan. With the cooperation of a wagashi confectioner, Mr. Maeda, let’s learn about wagashi and Japanese culture with having fun learning how to make wagashi.
There are many things even Japanese people don’t know about wagashi and Japanese culture. By learning about them in English, I hope participants will understand how to explain them to foreigners. Of course, I also hope that this will be a good opportunity for foreigners to learn about Japanese culture deeply.
I will speak both in English and Japanese, so it also will be a good opportunity for you to learn Japanese. This time, we pick up spring confectionery, and we will hold the same event in each season.
