『Rhizottome(リゾットメ)』

ソプラニーノサックスのマチュー・メッツガーと、クロマティック・アコーディオンのアーメル・ドゥゼットが出会い、結成される。ネオ伝統的な歌とより古典的なメロディーに触発され、ここと他の場所を繋ぐ音楽、伝統と現代の間にある独自の曲を創作する。
伝統を掘り下げ高い即興性により新たに創られた彼らの音楽は、誰もが踊りたくなるようなエネルギーに満ち、民族音楽の枠を越えヨーロッパの多くのフェスティバルに招聘されている。

Rhizottome sprang from the encounter of two instruments : the sopranino saxophone of Matthieu Metzger and the bi-sonor chromatic accordion of Armelle Dousset. Inspired by neo-traditional song and more classical melodies, they developed their own repertoire between tradition and modernity, here and elsewhere, the familiar and peculiar. Through their capacity for listening and their ability to improvise, they create an energy that makes every dance possible.

マチュー・メッツガー(ソプラニーノサックス）
音楽院でクラシックサックス、ジャズ、音階を楽しみながら学び、優等生として卒業。耳に音が感知される前と感知されている間では何が起こっているのかを研究。電子、ダークロックの技術を使い、独自にレコーディングを行う。

A big dose of conservatoire with fun, as a good boy (classical saxophone, jazz, sol-fa, etc.),

Questions about what’s dealing before and between our ears (musicology studies, writings on Meshuggah),

Electronic tummys (and electrochocs…), some bitter and dark rock, self-taught recording techniques by musical necessity and emergency.

A lot of projects crawling in mind.

アーメル・ドゥゼット(クロマティックアコーディオン）
芸術表現の全ての可能性に興味を持ち活動。パフォーミング・アーツ（映画専攻）で学位を取得後、アンジェ国立現代舞踊センター、ダンサーコースに入学し卒業。在籍中にマチュー・メッツガ−と二人で「Rhizottome(リゾットメ)」を結成しミュージシャンとしての経験を積む。２００９年に来日し、影、双対性、脆弱性をモチーフにした「背後霊」を発表。ダンス、音楽両方を通して意欲的に創作活動をしている。フランスの振付家アラン・ビュファー、ベルナルド・モンテ、ローラン・ファルギエール、オリビエ・ノルマン、ジードラなどの作品に出演。

She is quite interested in every possible form of expression through art. After passing a Performing Arts degree in the cinema section, she joined the CNDC in Angers where she attended the Choreographic Artists II training.&nbs

At the same time, sh
e went on practising as a musician by creating the”Rhizottome” duo with the saxophonist Matthieu Metzger. 

In 2009, she left for Japan to invent the performance “Haigorei” . Since then she keeps strong artistic relationship with Kyôto underground cabarets. 

She is presently performing for a few choreographers in France (Alain Buffard, Bernardo Montet, Laurent Falguiéras) and playing accordion with the “Cut Paper People”.

Motion, listening, vulnerability…
Through this heterogeneous experience, which she is proud of, she has never stopped dealing with all this food for thought that can be found either in her dancing performances or woven in her musical creations.
